Thank you for submitting your complaint to the Office of the Utah Attorney General. Our Financial Crimes Intelligence Center conducts criminal investigations selectively under established policies and accepts cases that meet specific criteria, such as multi-jurisdictional issues, conflicts of interest, or referrals from government agencies.

If we decide to open an investigation or need additional information, we will contact you within thirty (30) days. If you do not hear from us within that timeframe, our office has determined that we will not open an investigation at this time. This decision does not mean that no crime occurred and should not be used in court or treated as evidence regarding the validity of the allegations.

If we do not proceed with an investigation, you may wish to contact another appropriate governmental agency. This may include your local law enforcement agency or, if the matter involves local law enforcement, reach out to their administrative leadership. You may also consider consulting private legal counsel for potential civil remedies.
