Tracking our impact
FCIC is committed to transparency and accountability. This page tracks our progress in protecting Utahns from financial crime — including cases investigated, prosecuted, and the funds recovered on behalf of victims.
Why This Matters
$113.1M
lost by Utahns to financial scams in 2024 — growing $20–30M annually
Financial crime isn’t just a personal loss. It affects families, drains retirement savings, harms small businesses, and erodes trust in our financial system.
The FCIC was built to change that trajectory. By centralizing investigations and prosecution, coordinating intelligence across institutions and agencies, and giving Utahns better tools to report fraud, we are working to make Utah a harder target for financial criminals.

Legislative Accountability
The FCIC was established by the Utah Legislature in 2026. The following metrics are used to measure success:
- More financial crime cases investigated and prosecuted statewide
- More intelligence sharing and coordination between financial institutions and law enforcement
Annual reports to the Legislature will be posted here when available.
