One of the fastest-growing threats facing Utah families and businesses
Financial crime is one of the fastest-growing threats facing Utah families and businesses. In 2024 alone, scammers stole $114 million from Utahns — and losses grow by $20 to $30 million every year. The FCIC was created to reverse that trend.
Led by the Office of the Utah Attorney General, the FCIC brings together investigators, prosecutors, forensic accountants, and intelligence analysts to track criminal patterns statewide, share intelligence with law enforcement partners, interact with financial institutions to investigate trends and cases, and hold bad actors accountable.
Whether you’re a consumer who has been defrauded, a bank or credit union looking to report criminal activity, or a law enforcement agency seeking investigative support — the FCIC is here for you.
